Welcome sa Yours truly, Madma’s Next Top Model!!! Ito ang kauna-unahan at nakakalokang modelling search sa blogging world hatid sa atin ng Adbokasya at Dolled up by J.C. Cantos.

8 models na lang ang natitira! Sila ang maglalaban-laban para sa titulong Ultimate Grand Winner ng YTMNTM. Last Wednesday, nagpaalam na tayo Rog. Siya ang pang-siyam na natanggal sa YTMNTM. Salamat sa pagiging bahagi ng show na ito, Rog. Salamat sa pinakita mong husay, galing at tapang sa bawat round. Ipagpatuloy mo ang napakagandang adbokasya mo para sa Kalikasan.We wish you all the best!

Panibagong challenge na naman ang kakaharapin ng ating Top 8 finalists today. Susubukan natin ang kanilang galing sa pagmo-model ng kanilang Best Pambahay Shot. Kailangan i-model nila ang kanilang pambahay outfit sa mismong bahay nila! O, di ba. Matindi ‘to. Dito natin makikita kung sino ba talaga yung fierce pa rin kahit naka-pambahay lang.

Tatlo ulit ang magiging hurado para sa round na ito. Ito ay sina Mr. Rogelio Estacio Jr., ang General Manager ng Adbokasya, Ms. J.C. Cantos ng Dolled up by J.C. Cantos at ang ating celebrity judge for this week na si Ms. Sonia Pascual Shout ouch naman sa napakaganda nating Celebrity Judge for this round!

Sonia Pascual was a one-time surfer, previously a scriptwriter at ABS-CBN, now a senior copywriter at LOWE Philippines, and always a lover of life. She collects books, journals, fountain pens, inks, and experiences. She wanted to be a model but have to install additonal knee caps to make it to the runway, so she’s settled for sewing fashion pieces in her head. The ratio of judging is divided into: Panel Judges (50%) and Fan Votes (50%). Lahat ng fans ay pwedeng bumoto ISANG BESES kada araw! Tuluy-tuloy lang ang suporta sa favorite finalist n’yo everyday. Ang cut-off ng voting for this round ay sa July 31 (Tuesday) at 11:00 p.m. Tapos sa August 1(Wednesday) ang ating ikalimang na Elimination Day! Isang model na naman ang ating tatangalin sa Wednesday.

Waging-wagi sa prizes ang Ultimate Grand Winner ng YTMNTM dahil siya ang magiging featured model ng Adbokasya for the month of September. Syempre, may bonggang solo pictorial shoot siya kasama ang buong YTMNTM team: photography by Mr. Zabra Yu Siwa, Hair and Make-up by Ms. J.C. Cantos. Magkakaroon din siya ng free personalized t-shirt from Adbokasya, design of his/her own.Makakatanggap din siya ng free Hair and Make-up service from Ms. J.C. Cantos valid within this year. Nakakatuwang makapanood ng isang matino at pinag-isipang pelikula! Worth it sa sigaw at pera. Talagang napapalakpak kameng lahat sa dulo. Ibang level ng katatakutan ang binigay ng The Healing. Nakakaulol level. Maganda ang build-up ng story, scoring, aktingan, maayos ang mga eksena. And the gore! I love it! Powerful cast. Superb acting. Gripping story. MASTERPIECE! Congratulations sa lahat ng mga bumubuo ng The Healing lalo na sa horror dream team na sina Chito Rono, Jerrold Tarog and Richard Somes. PASABOG KAYO! Ito na ata ang favorite Pinoy horror film ko to date. Masasabing nalampasan nito ang Feng Shui and Sukob. Ibang Level ang The Healing eh! KAKABALIW! 🙂

At hahatulan ko na ang The Healing! 4/5 on my Divanometer. May mga element pa rin akong hindi nagustuhan lalo na yung pag-blur sa mukha ni Ate Vi sa napakaraming scenes. Grabe yung binu-blur ang face ni Vilma Santos! Private part ba ang face nya?! Pepe? KALOKA. At tsaka sana si Ms. Jaime Rivera talaga ang kumanta ng theme song ng The Healing kasi Insipirational Diva siya, ‘di ba? Pinu-push ko talaga ito. 🙂

Overall, masayang experience ang pagnood ng The Healing. Magugustuhan n’yo ito lalo na ang mga horror adik like me. Panonoorin ko ulit siya definitely. Ganda eh! Tsaka may pera ako. Bakit ba! 🙂 WATCH na! Panoorin n’yo yung R18 na version para pasabog! May R13 na version din kasi at malalaman n’yo kung bakit. Huwag ‘yun ang panoorin n’yo. Mga bata?! GO NA!!! Takbo na sa sinehan. Suportahan naman natin ang pelikulang Pilipino.  🙂

  7. Episode 5, people! Episode 5.
    Pambahay shot.

    So first off, I’d like to emphasize that the contestants’ challenge for this week is to model their pambahay clothes, and give a feel and sense of “home”.

    The photo line-up for this week is the strongest so far, with a few exceptions (too bad). So with no further ado, let’s start judging.

    First up is, Jeff.
    Jeff, I can look at your eyes all day, child. I love the way you POP OUT in that picture. With all those colors and patterns and you popped out with all those plain clean whiteness. You’re modelling with your eyes here. I can see your legs are also angled and projected too even when they’re blurred. A little booty-tooch would’ve made this picture better. I feel comfort, i feel home. I’d love to wear that shirt you wore. I bet it smells good. Your strongest photo so far. Good job.

    Next up is, Keempee.
    It’s not working for me. It’s too sensual…in a comical manner. You didn’t commit to this shot. This could be modelly sensual but it seems to me that you made a joke out of this shot, and I hate that. I’m so disappointed. The phone, the lip biting, the bathroom, the toilet, it just doesn’t translate to me at all. Not home-y. Bathrobe for clothing? I’m sorry but this one of your weakest.

    Okay. Now, Jetti. C’mon over girl.
    Wow. Again, I’m impressed. Week after week after week you’re constantly delivering the best photos in this competition. I love the way your left foot is contorted and broken. The light on your face and neck, oh and that jawline wow! I’m not a fan of the right hand, however, it seems awkward to me. I want to buy those pambahay clothes. Home? Yes.

    Next, Angelica.
    Angelica, this is a sweet shot. When I look at this picture it makes me say, “Aww!”. However, the boy opposite to you grabs my attention more than you do. It looks like a family ad. Home in a sense of family. But in terms of clothing, nuh-uh. Not in your league of strong photos.

    Okay, next up is Flip.
    Why hello there, Mr. Bad Boy. I love this photo because this is a different side of you… again. What I don’t love about this pic is the way you placed your hands in your pockets… very awkward, and that you lost your neck here. This could’ve been a better photo. Nonetheless, it’s safe. Home? Well, yeah. Clothing? Pants? Hmmm.

    Step up now, Nessa.
    La chameleon! When I look at this photo it reminds me of a massage parlor. I don’t know. It must be the ambiance. And with that I feel relaxed and at home. However, you covered your clothes here. I’d be disappointed with this shot if I were a designer and asked you to model for me and you covered the clothes. If this is a book campaign, it’d pass off the charts. But honey, the theme is pambahay clothes not books. The facial expression didn’t work or me. But i love your collar bone. So-so.

    Next is, Coco.
    Oh my. What happened?
    You covered your outfit completely with a floral pillow. That’s a big minus already. Yes, you’re home but I believe not in its most flattering part. And this isn’t a flattering angle of your face also. Practice in front of a mirror. Weakest of the bunch.

    And last but not the least, Paris.
    GUESS WHO’S BACK PEOPLE? Wow! Paris, wow!
    What is it with home and books? You’re the third one already. Paris, this is beautiful. The angle, your toes, your neck, your face profile. H2T girl! H2T!!! Head-to-Toe! That’s what I’m talking about. I love the way that jacket thingy drapes down on your shoulders. This is genius. I love it. I. LOVE. IT! You’re strongest so far.

    Nessa, chameleon another. Pero eto na rin talaga ang weakest shot mo so far. Pero exaj, hanggang ngayon di ko pa rin maintindihan kung bakit every single week ay iba’t-ibang Nessa ang nakikita naming!

    Coco, sana maka-hanap ka ng penpal soon. This is reminiscent of all my uncles na nag-saudi nung 80s.

    Keempee, alam nating lahat ang struggles mo this week. Pero solid pa rin ang fans mo, so we’ll all rally for you.

  18. Maulang tanghali sa ating lahat. Maulan man ay mainit pa rin ang tagisan dito sa YTMNTM. Nandito na naman ako upang magbigay papugay sa walo na lamang na natatanging modelo. Batid kong ang iba sa inyo ay seryoso sa kompetisyon, may medyo hindi rin, may ilan na gustong magpakilala lang, sino ka man sa mga nabanggit, mahal ka ni Boom at sigurado akong napamahal ka na rin sa mga tagasubaybay. Muli saludo ako sa tapang at lakaas ng loob. Kaya maglalambing na ako kina:

    1. Jeff: “Kama”- nakakaengganyo ang larawan. Parang sa tingin mo pa lamang ay nagkukwento ka na sa akin kung anung binabasa mo sa aklat. Mahusay ang koneksyon at maayos ang kuha. Maganda ang kamerang ginamit.

    2. Kempee: “Telepono”- Nakikita ko ang dedikasyon mong manalo. Sino mang kausap mo sa telepono ay siguradong iboboto ka. Ngumiti ka at top 8 ka na. Modelo ka ng tamang paggamit ng oras dahil pinagsabay mo ang pagtelebabad at pag-cr

    3. Jetti: “Ilaw”- Isa kang tanglaw sa kanilang lahat sa mahusay mong paggamit ng katawan sa pagmomodelo. Salamat sa pagpapahalaga mo sa mga patapong bagay.

    4. Angelica: “Kapamilya”- Walang mas aaliwalas pa sa ngiti mo at sa kuha mo. Naramdaman ko ang pagpapahalaga mo sa pamilya sa kabila ng kakulangan sa oras sa trabaho at ibang bagay. Tandaan mo pamilya pa rin ang huling hantungan.

    5. Flip: “Bulsa”- Hindi ko man mabasa ang gusto mong ipahayag na emosyon, ang pagkasimple at payak ng larawan ang isang lamang mo sa kanila. Ang hindi mo paggamit ng kahit anung props ang nagpaangat sa kabuuan mo.

    6. Nessa; “Aklat”- Andaming storyang pwedeng isulat sa larawan mo. Ang mga kabataan ngayon hindi na mahilig magbasa. Salamat sa pagmomodelo mo ng aklat. Huwaran kang dapat tularan.

    7. Coco; “Unan”- Simple ang larawan na nagbabadya ng simple mong pamumuhay. Sa iyong kasulatan ay nakitaan kita ng katalinuhan at pagpapahalaga rin sa impormasyon. Positibo ang kuha. Ang simpleng ngiti mo ay pasado sa akin. Tumatag ka, alam ko rin ang pakiramdam ng mawalan ng mahal sa buhay. =( Mahal ka ng Dyos at ni Boom.

    8. Paris: “koridor”- Ang tagilid na kuha ng larawan ay isang lamang mo dahil naipakita ang pagka-competitive mo. Kita ko ang dedikasyon na para bang nagsasabing ‘tapusin na natin to ngayon na, wag na nating ipagpabukas. Ngayon na.’

    Iyon lamang. Natutuwa ako sa ating mga modelo dahil halos lahat ay nagpakita ng pagpapahalaga sa aklat. Isa rin akong uod ng kaalaman. Mabuhay kayong lahat. Tandaan, hindi lang dapat nating ipakita ang pisikal na galing, lagyan natin ng emosyon, pagpapahalaga at mensahe ang larawan. Imodelo natin ang mga bagay na alam nating tama. Sa kabuuan, ayos lahat.

  20. Ano nga ba ang bahay sa para sa atin? Kanlungan, pahingahan o simpleng uwian? Ang sarap kasi kapag nasa bahay ka (kung okay ang bahay niyo ha?). Yung ‘at-home’ na feeling, wagas yun eh! Kaya for me, challenging ang theme this week kasi ang pambahay at pagiging nasa bahay seem to be ordinary and yet, kailangan nyo sila i-model. Kailangan palabasin ang tunay na diwa ng pagiging nasa bahay, kung saan malaya kang gawin ang nais mo at pwede mong palabasin ang tunay na sarili mo.

    So sino nga ba ang nagtagumpay sa challenge na ito?

    Jeff – I like the shot and the feel of the photo. And yeah, how your eyes communicate, anggaling mangusap ng mukha mo rito. If you can communicate an advocacy like that, panalo na talaga. Pero I think hindi ito ang pinaka-gwapo mong shot, may iggwapo ka pa kumbaga. Pero gudjab gudjab!

    Keempee – Sa hotel ang bahay mo? Ganda ng banyo nyo eh. At in fairness sa pambahay mo ha, bath robe kung bath robe. Pero this turned out be a joke for me. Sorry, I don’t buy it. You are one of the weakest this round. Swerte ka dami mong fans. Pero kung ganitong kalidad ng photo ang lagi mong ipapasa at ikaw ang tatanghaling panalo sa huli, then YTMNTM is a failure or a mere joke.

    Jetti – As always, wala na akong masasabi pa. Ikaw na talaga, this is what YTMNTM is about. Bahay shot pero out-of-the-box! Sa bahay pero PA.SA.BOG. Clap Clap Clap, Congratulations once again. See you sa finale!!!!

    Angelica – touched naman ako sa pamangkin story. Dami ko rin kasi pamangkin eh. Pero mukha kang grade 6 sa picture. Ibang-iba sa picture na ni-submit mo before. We are seeing a different side of you pero parang nakalimutan mo yung pagiging modeling search ng YTMNTM. Definitely not your strongest photo.

    Flip – High School pic ba ito? Parang anak na barumbado na ewan. Magaling din mangusap ang mga mata mo rito, something that we need sa model. This is safe pero sure akong marami ka pang ibubuga, laban pa. Grabe muntik nang malaglag last week ha?

    Nessa – ang senswal ng feel ng photo. Hilig mo sa red-red ha? Not your strongest photo either. Pero safe enough. Gusto ko yung may mga times na nag-me-mellow ka. Sure akong aatake ka nanaman sa susunod, when it really matters.

    Coco – irita ako sa mga tauban ng baso. Sorry but this should be the end of the line for you. Wag ka na magprepare ng picture for next week ha, unless iboto ka ng lahat ng fans ng YTM.

    Paris – You.are.so.BACK!!!!! Yes! Ito ang Paris na mahal namin. Pasabog at nag-aalab nang bonggang bongga! Tipong pambahay ang theme pero hindi inaasahan na ganito ang kalalabasan. Ang lakas!!!! The buwis-buhay pose definitely paid off. And you instantly became a threat to the other contestants too. Welcome back and congratulations!!! 🙂

  29. interesting talaga ang pic and statements ni coco.. its gives sense to people… di kasing flirtatious or perverted ng ibang pics..at di rin parang kinuha lng sa fb na pic.. at lalo nang di absurdity gaya ng pic sa isang awkward na lugar..tingain ko namn ang maglilike llng sa photo na un eh ung mga toilet ang humor… to sum it up… coco is a complete winner…

    Sana wala nang wildcard, kasi madedefeat yung purpose nung judges save, it’s either judges save lang or wildcard lang, eto yung iritang ginagawa ng reality shows sa Pinas na nakakayamot lang talaga. Twists are good and exciting pero kung bombardment of twists, hindi na siya maganda, parang para lang masabi na may twist. Just my two dollars, yes, mayaman ako eh. Haha

  38. Jeff- Ayan, ibang atake sa editing ng photo 🙂 Ang ganda! One of my favorites ito for this round 🙂 boxer shorts kung boxer shorts ha, achieved ang theme na “PAMBAHAY” shot 🙂 when it comes to modeling, pasok sa banga din! PASOK na PASOK ito! 🙂

    Keempee- ang ganda ng CR nyo, may phone talaga 🙂 bath robe… hmmm… di bale marami ka namang fans, sila na ang bahala sa iyo 🙂

    Jetti- isa kang BONA KID, batang may laban! i-maintain mo lang yang pagiging powerful mo 🙂 ikaw ang consistent sa pag-follow sa theme at malinaw na malinaw sayo na ito ay modeling contest. nahi-hit mo pareho yang 2 essentials na yan so go! PAK!

    Angelica- ang warm ng picture na ito 🙂 may kurot sa puso 🙂 lakas maka-Mcdo/ Jollibee commercial na except that syempre wala kayo sa Mcdo/ Jollibee. Check ka sa theme, ekis ka sa modeling

    Flip- eh… weak na naman ito for me 😦 check sa modeling, ekis naman sa “PAMBAHAY” shot. very uncomfortable naman ng maong bilang pambahay, anuber. lakasan mo next round, kung….

    Nessa- sexy-sexyhan lagi ang arrive mo! 🙂 umo-off shoulder ang pambahay 🙂 don’t get me wrong, i love it! 🙂 Ganda ng room mo 🙂 Pa-tambay naman 🙂 Sa modeling side, hmm… mas gusto ko yung ginawa ni Jeff and Paris (sorry for the comparison kasi pareho kayo ng favorite hobby pag asa bahay) but you are definitely safe in this round with your entry 🙂

    – nice clean photo, appreciate the extra care put into lighting effect sa background and the use of native prints i.e. banig. Kakatuwa naman parang may mini-game sa mga photos submitted, like name this book I’m reading. Mas interesting siguro if you didn’t look at the camera instead showed your reaction as you read 50 shades.

    2. KEEMPEE
    This is Pambahay shot, in fairness mukhang apartelle CR ang CR niyo sa bahay, with matching phone and pa-marbled walls. I just don’t see the intrarelationship said in the writeup in this shot.

    3. JETTI
    The most beautiful photo in the set – colors, light and shadow, and winner din ang pambahay outfit (ibang confidence rin ang kailangan para sa stomach exposure). Big plus are the colorful bulbs that I assume you made 🙂

    4. ANGELICA
    Bakit kailangan black and white ang photo? Mas maganda sana kung mas candid ito, or mas active as in we see you playing with the kids. But this is Pambahay shot, and it’s very clear that when you’re at home, your beauty shows – not just sa face, pero ang ganda ng puso.

    5. FLIP
    Poor lighting, what’s-with-the-face?, and this could be a random wall not in your house. Sana you gave a pic of you doing your favorite activity na lang, mas interesting pa.

    6. NESSA
    Mukhang favorite ni Ms. Nessa and kimono-type tops. Love this photo as well, sana mas relax lang when you’re reading a book, when I look at this photo it seems medyo hirap therefore unnatural ang pagkaupo/sandal to read the book. Don’t be afraid to make use of clashing colors, para mas mag-standout ka rin from your environment/setting.

    7. COCO
    Walang written-word/visual lock ang entry na’to. I’m expecting the write-ups will illuminate the pose/photo to give us and YTMNTM a better view and understanding of all the finalists. Ito hindi ko ma-gets, and sayang dahil ang daming name-dropping na naganap.

    8. PARIS
    Buwis-buhay pose + the lines + I love the angle, and girl, you’re working that ledge! Looove it! You showed courage and chutzpah, mahalaga ‘yan sa pagiging model of any kind. And what makes you a winner is you live with 6 roommates and show exemplary pakikisama (dafak, bakla ka kaya para maglaro ng DOTA and CS, ikaw na!).

    Angelica, maganda ang kwento pero modelling search ito, ikaw dapat ang sentro, though i like na nakitaan kita ng heart.

    Flip, alam na rin naming talent mo ang magmukhang gwapo. SO what’s next. Tapos na ang profile pic na episode, naiwan itong photo na ito.

    Nessa, naupstage na ka ng lamps mo. Hindi model ang dating mo dito, kulang sa softness or intensity, walang pinuntahan.

    Coco, Grabe rin ang test of friendship mo sa mga boboto sa iyo. Hindi mo man lang sila binigyan ng opportunity na iboto ka because you have a good entry,

    Paris, just so you know, lagi kitang binoboto. napapanahon sa olympics ang photo na ito.
